Jacika: hello .Denise; how are you?

Shop .I'm good, how are you doing?

Jacika:. All is going well. I'm just looking for some delicious veggies for my dinne tonight.

Shop. What are you making?

Jacika: I'm going to make some vegetable soup.

Shop: Yum. I can help you with that.

Jacika: great.

Shop: I have some fresh tomatoes that were just picked this morning. Would you like some of them?

Jacika: Those look wonderful I'll take four. Please. And do you have any green beans or peas

Shop: I have green beans this week. Would you like a pound of them?

Jacika: Yes I think a pound will work.

Shop: Here you go. What about some potatoes?

Jacika: Sure. I'll take four red potatoes. I'll also taste some carrots a full pound of carrots. Please.

Shop: Here you go. Anything else?

Jacika: What fruits are in season right now? My kids love the watermelon I got from you last week.

Shop: I have more watermelon if you're interested. But I also have strawberries. They are perfectly sweet and delicious.

Jacika: I would love some; I'll take two pounds .please.

Shop:is that everything?

Jacika: Yes.

Shop: That will be 23.45.

Jacika: Here you go keep the change

Shop: Thank you: I'll see you next week.

At the Hospital

S1: how do you feel now?

S2: A lot better; I'm still taking medication.but I'm on the mend. I'll be discharged from the hospital in two days.

S1: wow; that's great news. and when will you be able to attend classes again?

S2: only next week.

S1: I'm counting down the days till you come back to school.

S2: did I miss a lot in class?

S1: not a lot but you did miss a few things. like today, Miss.Amy made us write a poem. she gave us 10 words to use and a few rhyming words for reference. she told us to write five verses.it was really difficult. I struggled to find a topic to use these words in.

S2: oh.she didn't give you a topic?

S1: no. she didn't.

S2: it sounds fun to me

S1: then you shouldn't Miss next Tuesday's class.

S2: same task?

S1: yes.

S2: I'm there.did I miss anything else?

S1: you missed the math test

S2: yes

S1: you're so lucky.
